CV of Bishop of Tirunelveli Diocese

The Rt. Rev. S Jeyapaul David, Bishop in Tirunelveli, Church of South India since 21st November 1999. He was born to Mr. Swamidason and Mrs. Mercy Swamidason on 11th August 1944 at Tuticorin. He had his schooling at Tuticorin and obtained his B.A. degree from V.O.C. College, Tuticorin. He did B.D. course at Serampore College, Serampore.

He continued his higher education in Theology at St. John's College, Nottingaham, U.K. during September 1978 to July 1979.

The Rt. Rev. S Jeyapaul David was ordained as a Presbyter on 30th March 1969 at St. Patrick’s Church, Tuticorin. He has served as a  Presbyter at: 

During 1982 to 1985 he has worked as Organizing Secretary of National Missionary Society and during 1990 to 1992 he was General Secretary of Indian Missionary Society (IMS). He also worked as a Professor at Yavatmal College for Leadership Training during 1994 and 1997.

The Rt. Rev. S Jeyapaul David was consecrated as Bishop in Tirunelveli on 21st November 1999 at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Palayamkottai.
