Mukkudal pastorate came into being in 1975 with nine congregations. Now it has grown into eleven. All the eleven congregations have well built churches. This pastorate has two Middle Schools and a Primary School. In this area most of the people are Hindus. The Pastorate plans to raise new churches in the unreached villages. The congregations in the pastorate are badly in need of medical care. So they plan to start a hospital in near future.
