The Kalakad Pastorate was set up in 1993. Till then the congregations were in the Dohnavur Circle. There are four schools. Now the focus is on reaching new villages with the Gospel. Prayerfully the Pastorate is looking for a great harvest (of souls) in the near future as there are many serious enquires. The Pastorate plans to procure land to develop a "Hill Resort - Retreat Centre" near the Pachaiyar Dam.
